Now it is time to use retargeting to make sure the people who already signed up get excited about what awaits them at the webinar.

Setting Up Your Retargeting Campaign

Setting up your retargeting campaign is an important part of the overall process, especially if this is your first time doing so. You can choose to set up your campaign any way you like but we decided to give you a ready-made template to help you get better results.

Before we get started, keep in mind that it is best to prepare emails in advance rather to wait for the last minute to get them done. This way you will be able to focus on the quality of the email and you won’t have to rush just to get it over with.

Besides, if you start feeling nervous about your webinar and the campaign, at least you will know that your retargeting emails are ready to be sent out automatically. With that said, here’s the template we prepared for you:

#1 Email – You’re Registered for the Webinar

Even though you already have a thank you page set up (if you were paying attention to the previous parts of our guide), it is a great idea to send out a confirmation email as well.

This will confirm the registration in the visitor’s mind and it will let them know that you are open to communicate. Thus, they can expect more emails to come from you.

#2 Email – 36 Hour Reminder

Next up, prepare a reminder email to be sent out 36 hours before the event. This will jog the audience’s memory and perhaps encourage them to list your webinar into their weekly planner.

You can also use this opportunity to include an important link such as a link to your Youtube channel or a worksheet for the webinar. Make sure to include some kind of call-to-action to get them moving.

#3 Email – 24 Hour Reminder

This is a more precise reminder where you need to include crucial information such as the exact time of the day your webinar is going to take place. This will allow the audience to clear their schedule for the next day and make some time for your event.

Make sure to keep this message short and concise to avoid any confusion. You want the audience to focus on the time of the event so they don’t miss out on it.

#4 1 Hour Reminder

Once you get down to one hour before the event, it’s time to create some urgency. Research has proven that creating a sense of urgency is crucial in all types of marketing. Just in case people have a busy day, you can use the one hour reminder to make sure the webinar doesn’t slip their mind.

Mention that you’re excited to have them attend the event to boost the personalization. It’s also a good idea to ask them what they would like to hear you talk about. This will give the audience the feeling of being involved in the organization of the event.

#5 SMS 10 Minute Reminder

If you paid attention to our guide from the beginning, you know that it is important to collect people’s phone numbers.  If you have their number, send out 10 minute reminders via SMS.

Make sure to keep the message under 20 words and try not to sound too pushy. Just let them know that the event is about to start and that you’re waiting to see them there. It’s a good idea to use Twilio integration with ClickFunnels to make this step easier.

#6 Email – Going Live Now!

If you already have some experience with webinars or if you’ve watched many of them, you know that the Going Live Now email has to be sent out ten minutes before the actual start of the event.

This gives people some time to get to their computer and join the webinar in time. They won’t feel pressured to run and sign in because they will have ten minutes to settle down and get comfortable.

Pro Tip: This is a plain email template that is proven to work efficiently. However, you can add your own twist to it if you want to share additional links or content. Whatever you do, make sure to keep it short and concise.
