One Funnel Away Challenge Review

Here’s my review of the ClickFunnels’ 30 Day Challenge “One Funnel Away …” (OFA)

Is it worth investing your time and money into then next One Funnel Away Challenge in 2020? News about “the challenge” has reached everywhere. I have personally gone through the One Funnel Away Challenge as Beta-User the first time it was launched. Previously it was named 30 Days Virtual Summit and it began on 15th October, 2018.

Russell Brunson published a book – 

”30 Days – What if you suddenly had no money, no job… what steps would you take to get back on your feet?” 

What steps would they take if they lost everything and only had your knowledge, a computer and internet access? The book reveals the world’s top 30 experts’ action plans on what steps they would take, right from day 1 to day 30, if they lost everything. These 30 experts have won the 2 Comma Club Award = they have made at least a million dollars in just one sale funnel in their business. 

This is great, isn’t it? What actually got me even more interested was the potential of learning how to generate my personal sale funnel to sell my own products (physical or digital products) in the future.

I signed up at once! And so did thousands of entrepreneurs. I hoped I would learn how to actually set up a funnel to promote my own products (to a price I could afford) – something I wanted to learn for years. I took many courses by other people for my online business but I didn’t quite get what steps I should follow to have a website that helps me sell my products online. No matter what I did, it felt like I was missing a piece and I was never able to figure it out myself. Oh the overwhelm I felt! It seemed as if I was given the chance to learn and then left on the way with lots of question marks in my mind.

I was excited to add a reminder to my calendar of the challenge day. A couple of days later I received my book.

The Pre-Challenge Training:

One week before the challenge began, 7 days were devoted to preparing our MINDSET for success. I was really anticipating Steven’s live calls…and I was so eager to listen to his daily lecture of the OFA Challenge! The teaching, coaching and motivation Steven delivered has been very inspiring. During the whole challenge, I’m proud to say that I have only missed one live call (due to family issue) but we received the re-play links so it was no problem to catch up at a later point.

The Training:

  • Pre-Challenge Week – Get to know what you are afraid of, Mindset and self-confidence, Belief in yourself.
  • Week 1: Focusing on product offers – how to create pages in a funnel. “Funnel Hacking”, reviewing, taking notes, model. How to generate products QUICKLY: Public Domains, PLR. Have knowledge on “Hook, Story, Offer,” and offer sequencing.
  • Week 2: Importance of publishing, design/images for your products and resources, the “Epiphany Bridge”, developing your personal, authentic “Origin Story”, generate “Hooks” from the origin of your story.
  • Week 3:  Core funnel strategy,  setting up your ClickFunnels share funnel, setting up the squeez page, setting up the offer page.
  • Week 4: Traffic and promotion

We received homework daily. We received worksheets and notes as well, so we would write down what we have learned in the training every day. The emphasis is on LEARNING before taking ACTION – a philosophy I feel helps you to UNDERSTAND the process and in effect will raise the results you’re able to achieve. To be honest, for me it was a gradual training process. I came into the challenge without a product (I had a few options in mind but I was not yet set 100%). Week 1 was really helpful in that regard, but so was week 2. We learned how to set-up an irresistible offer, and then learned to understand how a sales funnel would help to automate the sales process. This knowledge alone helped me determine what product I want to sell.

In week 3, we received a high converting three-step-funnel template and Russell explained the psychology and sales techniques. Gold nuggets! There is a 14 days free trial so you will have enough time to complete the challenge in your free trial period. That’s what I did and I encourage you to do same, just in case you’ll need more time after the challenge is over.

High-Converting 3-Step-Funnel Template

A big takeaway for me was that you have to generate a story for a product/service that will be a solution to a problem people have. You can do so by telling your authetic story that gives hope and a goal of success. The book “30 Days,” assists a lot in this! People share insights about their niches, products or offers, and what resources they used. It is all in the book and you will get a lot of ideas that you can model for yourself. The interesting part is that many of the action steps overlap. People who are successful do a lot of the same things over and over!

Now you might be thinking……..

What if I don’t have my own product to sell?

“It’s not about the product.”

Well, note that the program‘s training is not just meant for people that posses their personal products, or offer a service. As I said above, I was not set on a product yet. Even if you don’t have your own product, the challenge is also designed in way that you can sell someone else product (for example as an affiliate) by creating your own sales funnel. In the training you learn that it is never about the product, but rather about the story. You learn how to create an irresistible offer (this was actually my favorite part – an eye-opener!) and how to drive traffic that converts to basically all kind of products.

Who are the coaches?

In One Funnel Away Challenge Training there were 3 coaches. Russell, Stephen, and Julie each covered differents facets of the training which completely compliment each other. In a nutshell, Russell told the WHAT, Julie digged into the HOW, and Stephen “kicked our butts” and made us WANT to do the work.

First coach was Russell Brunson who is 8 figure marketer and co-founder of ClickFunnels and author of two USA Best Selling Books (DotComSecrets and Expert Secrets). 

Second coach was Julie Stoian. She has also built a six figure freelance business and a million dollar brand business and now she helps in lecturing people on the methods of utilizing sales funnels and digital marketing. 

Steve Larsen was the third coach, he brought in a lot of energy and I really loved his live coaching calls (don’t miss those!). He is also a 7 Figure Entreprener and Sales Funnel Builder and founder of Sales Funnel Broker. Further he has given away 1,000,000 sales funnels to help companies handle the “techie” side of their businesses so they can focus on what they’re good at. Stephens vids and live calls were beyond helpful and encouraging. 

Is the Challenge doable?

“A confused mind never buys.”

As entrepreneur, I frequently get overwhelmed with the things I don’t know how to do. Before I started the One Funnel Away Challenge, I was floating around in a state of overwhelm and lack of clarity as to what I wanted to sell and what funnel I should use. I admit, there is a learning curve involved and you will have to put work in – it’s not an easy challenge, but it is doable, and quite rewarding.

  2. No time to overthink or get stuck in overwhelm. 
  3. Russell sets the stage with amazing content, and Stephen breaks down every single task. You are able to understand the lessons and be able to take action. Julie helps with the technical aspects, on how to set up your funnel without getting stuck. 

Here’s what I really think about this challenge.

I’m very happy that I didn’t miss this opportunity! Yeah, I know you just rolled your eyes right now… I’m sounding like any other marketer in love with a product and exaggerating it. But it really is that good. Russell, Stephen and Julie are delivering great, engaging content. They are extremely helpful and have a way of simplifying difficult steps and concepts. I have never seen so much value given out (I know, that’s what all the reviews say, but it’s true). I really feel like the coaches genuinely cared about us entrepreneurs who are starting small. This training is definitely worth ten times the amount we paid.

I know more about funnels than I ever did. The challenge was not just on creating funnels but the requirements in designing one for the potential clients, psychology involved in sales, and our role in building a system that is clear and helpful for future customers. The 30 days went by so quickly I can’t believe it. I went into this challenge without a product, service or an offer. While I’m still in the process of developing a product I was able to become clear on how I should develop the product to be able to position it much more effectively. I learned how to create an irresistible offer around my product that will help me to attract the right leads and customers. I’m certain that I have gotten the necessary information needed to start-up off the ground.
