One Funnel Away Challenge Review

Here’s my review of the ClickFunnels’ 30 Day Challenge “One Funnel Away …” (OFA)

Is it worth investing your time and money into then next One Funnel Away Challenge in 2019? News about “the challenge” has reached everywhere. I have personally gone through the One Funnel Away Challenge as Beta-User the first time it was launched. Previously it was named 30 Days Virtual Summit and it began on 15th October, 2018.

Russell Brunson published a book –

”30 Days – What if you suddenly had no money, no job… what steps would you take to get back on your feet?”

What steps would they take if they lost everything and only had your knowledge, a computer and internet access? The book reveals the world’s top 30 experts’ action plans on what steps they would take, right from day 1 to day 30, if they lost everything. These 30 experts have won the 2 Comma Club Award = they have made at least a million dollars in just one sale funnel in their business.

This is great, isn’t it? What actually got me even more interested was the potential of learning how to generate my personal sale funnel to sell my own products (physical or digital products) in the future.

I signed up at once! And so did thousands of entrepreneurs. I hoped I would learn how to actually set up a funnel to promote my own products (to a price I could afford) – something I wanted to learn for years. I took many courses by other people for my online business but I didn’t quite get what steps I should follow to have a website that helps me sell my products online. No matter what I did, it felt like I was missing a piece and I was never able to figure it out myself. Oh the overwhelm I felt! It seemed as if I was given the chance to learn and then left on the way with lots of question marks in my mind.

I was excited to add a reminder to my calendar of the challenge day. A couple of days later I received my book.

The Pre-Challenge Training:

One week before the challenge began, 7 days were devoted to preparing our MINDSET for success. I was really anticipating Steven’s live calls…and I was so eager to listen to his daily lecture of the OFA Challenge! The teaching, coaching and motivation Steven delivered has been very inspiring. During the whole challenge, I’m proud to say that I have only missed one live call (due to family issue) but we received the re-play links so it was no problem to catch up at a later point.

The Training:

  • Pre-Challenge Week – Get to know what you are afraid of, Mindset and self-confidence, Belief in yourself.
  • Week 1: Focusing on product offers – how to create pages in a funnel. “Funnel Hacking”, reviewing, taking notes, model. How to generate products QUICKLY: Public Domains, PLR. Have knowledge on “Hook, Story, Offer,” and offer sequencing.
  • Week 2: Importance of publishing, design/images for your products and resources, the “Epiphany Bridge”, developing your personal, authentic “Origin Story”, generate “Hooks” from the origin of your story.
  • Week 3:  Core funnel strategy,  setting up your ClickFunnels share funnel, setting up the squeez page, setting up the offer page.
  • Week 4: Traffic and promotion

We received homework daily. We received worksheets and notes as well, so we would write down what we have learned in the training every day. The emphasis is on LEARNING before taking ACTION – a philosophy I feel helps you to UNDERSTAND the process and in effect will raise the results you’re able to achieve. To be honest, for me it was a gradual training process. I came into the challenge without a product (I had a few options in mind but I was not yet set 100%). Week 1 was really helpful in that regard, but so was week 2. We learned how to set-up an irresistible offer, and then learned to understand how a sales funnel would help to automate the sales process. This knowledge alone helped me determine what product I want to sell.

In week 3, we received a high converting three-step-funnel template and Russell explained the psychology and sales techniques. Gold nuggets! Full Disclaimer: In order to be able use the funnel, you have to sign up to Clickfunnels. There is a 14 days free trial so you will have enough time to complete the challenge in your free trial period. That’s what I did and I encourage you to do same, just in case you’ll need more time after the challenge is over.

High-Converting 3-Step-Funnel Template

A big takeaway for me was that you have to generate a story for a product/service that will be a solution to a problem people have. You can do so by telling your authetic story that gives hope and a goal of success. The book “30 Days,” assists a lot in this! People share insights about their niches, products or offers, and what resources they used. It is all in the book and you will get a lot of ideas that you can model for yourself. The interesting part is that many of the action steps overlap. People who are successful do a lot of the same things over and over!

Now you might be thinking……..

What if I don’t have my own product to sell?

“It’s not about the product.”

Well, note that the program‘s training is not just meant for people that posses their personal products, or offer a service. As I said above, I was not set on a product yet. Even if you don’t have your own product, the challenge is also designed in way that you can sell someone else product (for example as an affiliate) by creating your own sales funnel. In the training you learn that it is never about the product, but rather about the story. You learn how to create an irresistible offer (this was actually my favorite part – an eye-opener!) and how to drive traffic that converts to basically all kind of products.

Who are the coaches?

In One Funnel Away Challenge Training there were 3 coaches. Russell, Stephen, and Julie each covered differents facets of the training which completely compliment each other. In a nutshell, Russell told the WHAT, Julie digged into the HOW, and Stephen “kicked our butts” and made us WANT to do the work.

First coach was Russell Brunson who is 8 figure marketer and co-founder of ClickFunnels and author of two USA Best Selling Books (DotComSecrets and Expert Secrets).

Second coach was Julie Stoian. She has also built a six figure freelance business and a million dollar brand business and now she helps in lecturing people on the methods of utilizing sales funnels and digital marketing.

Steve Larsen was the third coach, he brought in a lot of energy and I really loved his live coaching calls (don’t miss those!). He is also a 7 Figure Entreprener and Sales Funnel Builder and founder of Sales Funnel Broker. Further he has given away 1,000,000 sales funnels to help companies handle the “techie” side of their businesses so they can focus on what they’re good at. Stephens vids and live calls were beyond helpful and encouraging.

Is the Challenge doable?

“A confused mind never buys.”

As entrepreneur, I frequently get overwhelmed with the things I don’t know how to do. Before I started the One Funnel Away Challenge, I was floating around in a state of overwhelm and lack of clarity as to what I wanted to sell and what funnel I should use. I admit, there is a learning curve involved and you will have to put work in – it’s not an easy challenge, but it is doable, and quite rewarding.

  1. Clear actionable items every day.
  2. No time to overthink or get stuck in overwhelm.
  3. Russell sets the stage with amazing content, and Stephen breaks down every single task. You are able to understand the lessons and be able to take action. Julie helps with the technical aspects, on how to set up your funnel without getting stuck.

Here’s what I really think about this challenge.

I’m very happy that I didn’t miss this opportunity! Yeah, I know you just rolled your eyes right now… I’m sounding like any other marketer in love with a product and exaggerating it. But it really is that good. Russell, Stephen and Julie are delivering great, engaging content. They are extremely helpful and have a way of simplifying difficult steps and concepts. I have never seen so much value given out (I know, that’s what all the reviews say, but it’s true). I really feel like the coaches genuinely cared about us entrepreneurs who are starting small. This training is definitely worth ten times the amount we paid.

I know more about funnels than I ever did. The challenge was not just on creating funnels but the requirements in designing one for the potential clients, psychology involved in sales, and our role in building a system that is clear and helpful for future customers. The 30 days went by so quickly I can’t believe it. I went into this challenge without a product, service or an offer. While I’m still in the process of developing a product I was able to become clear on how I should develop the product to be able to position it much more effectively. I learned how to create an irresistible offer around my product that will help me to attract the right leads and customers. I’m certain that I have gotten the necessary information needed to start-up off the ground.

Is One Funnel Away Challenge worth investing time and money (100 USD)?

I’ll definitely say YES.

Some people pay up to $25000 to be part of Russell Brunson’s master class. We received direct coaching from him for less than $100. Furthermore, you also get lectures from top coaches Steve Larsen and Julie Stoian. You are receiving coaching from these top professionals for less than $100.

This is what I got for $100:

  • Access to the One Funnel Away Challenge
  • Permanent digital access to the content from the 30Days.com summit – the interviews with 30 entrepreneurs who’ve made 7 figures with a funnel
  • Hard copy book with the content from the summit. To be honest… I did not want the hard cover book. I feel it’s not necessary to force this on me – I prefer to listen to audiobooks. This is my main complaint about the Challenge :)!
  • Walkthroughs of the actual funnels the entrepreneurs used to generate 7 figures
  • Access to a private group with other funnel hackers and all other participants in the challenge

Acquiring New Customers with a Sales Funnel

New Customer Acquisition & Generating New Leads

What is a Funnel?

The majority of surveyed people told us that they achieve only very seldomly leads or actual sales– despite the fact that their website looks really good. What entrepreneurs need is what we call a “Sales Funnel”.

The Funnel: Your Tool for Automated Success

Funnel has the literal meaning of the word and describes the process of making people interested in you, and to then transform these people more and more into fans until they trust you enough to buy your product. Obviously, you won’t convince every single one of your fans to actually purchase something, which explains the reason why this process is being compared to and looks like a funnel.

Sales-Funnel is a cleverly automated marketing tool, which will help you get interested people to follow you and to turn them into customers.

Funnels are – besides your perfect Facebook fan page, your website or your blog – an essential element of content marketing to turn potentially interested readers into buying customers.

Fun Facts

Recently, 30,000 customers were surveyed, and the results were very interesting…

Those, who had one traditional website and only sold one product, achieved 540% less than those using a Sales-Funnel.

How is this possible?

  1. The sales increased by 140% as soon as a simple “order form bump” was added.
  2. An additional increase of 130% in revenue was recorded when an Upsell was added…
  3. When a down-sell was added, the income increased by an additional 133%…
  4. If all three things were added, revenue increased by overall 540%!

Yes, this literally means that for every $100, which are earned the traditional way via a normal website, the Sales-Funnel will increase the revenue to $640 – and that fully automatically.

What is the problem?

Websites weren’t invented to sell products. Websites were developed to introduce a company and the idea was to present it like for example a brochure would. So, if a sales person in your company hands out limitless brochures or flyers to potential customers in the hope that they will maybe buy something, you would be mad, or not? Well, this is exactly what is happening with your company. You might as well burn the money you are spending on marketing and advertisement. After all, this is pretty much what is happening when you send website visitors to your company website. So, if you want to sell a product or a service to make money, you will need to implement a Sales-Funnel.

This Funnel is literally the secret of the most successful online businesses. A Funnel is a series of steps, which potential clients will go through, and which will turn them into paying customers.

Funnels happen every day around you, even though you may not have noticed it.

How does a Funnel work?

Although every Funnel is individually different, most function according to the same principle:

Did you know that McDonalds pays $1.91 to get a client to use their Drive-Through? So, if they sell you a Burger for $2.09, they only make a profit of $0.18. However, if they also sell you a drink and fries, they are making an additional $1.77, which increases the profit to $1.32. This is 8x more than the original profit from the first sale. That’s quite impressive, or not? This is happening constantly around us, and yet, most entrepreneurs will create their website still like a brochure and try to sell their products or services this way. More often than not, they won’t be able to afford the hosting costs, once they spent all their money on marketing and advertising.

The solution?

If you want to sell products or services online, then you need much more than just a traditional website, and you will have to implement – much like McDonalds does – a Funnel. Instead of a McDonalds Drive-Through, your visitors will come in via a landing page, where you can collect their contact information, which enables you to contact them via their email addresses in the future. Whilst they are visiting your website, you will then be able to sell them other products and services – which is called upsell. This is pretty much how a Funnel works.

Interested people are attracted to content, which offers solutions to problems or answers on questions they may have. This content can be offered in various formats, like for example on a Facebook page, as blog entry or in Podcasts. The choice of the format should depend on the preferences of the target group: For example, if they are predominantly travel in the car for work, then they would have the time to listen to Podcasts during their travels.

To be able to send your readers personalized messages, additional content is offered together with the initial download – in exchange for their email address. Since you attract leads this way, the term used for these contents is lead-magnets. These often come in the form of e-books, manuals, checklists or case studies.

Therefore, the start of a Sales Funnel is to “warm up” the interested people. The terms “cold traffic/lead” or “hot traffic/lead” are often mentioned in this context. A cold lead would be someone, who does not know you yet, and who consequently would be relatively skeptical towards you. These people are obviously harder to convince. In the marketing world, experts often say that up to 7 contacts are needed, which explains the reason why it is so important to literally funnel as many interested people into your Sales-Funnel. Contact opportunities can happen on several different platforms or just one platform, which makes an email sequence a very effective tool, since it enables multiple direct recordings of these leads. A warm/hot lead has already had contact with you and is much easier to convince. People will predominantly buy from people they like. Keyword: Added Value.

The more quality you offer your readers, the faster they will turn into fans. People will only buy your book or product, if they have the feeling that they get a high-quality product for their money.

Once the reader is entered into your email-distribution, they will be able to receive your particular content via email. For this, automated email-series / email-sequence are being used. This way you can build up confidence and trust with your new contacts, where the reader expects helpful, suspenseful and useful information in every email. After a while, you will be able to offer your readers your offers for purchase. This will enable you also to gauge their real interest, and whether it is only in cost-free content or if these people are actually interested in becoming potential clients. You will lose a lot of people during this part of the process, if they are not interested in spending any money on your product. This is an important part of the Sales-Funnel, because it separates those, who basically just clog the space for free stuff, from those, who are truly relevant contacts.

There are some very good email marketing tools available, which can help you to create such an automated Sales Cycle (like for example Clickfunnels, which works very simply and without a designer or programmer). Here, you will also be able to download the highest converting landing pages and Funnel, which I use myself for my own leads. It works great! (You may try it yourself with their 14-day Trial free of charge.)

What is ClickFunnels?

Most simply put, ClickFunnels is an interactive software designed for building sales funnels. It was created by Russel Brunson back in 2014 and it has since turned into a $100 million a year business. Back in 2018, ClickFunnels had over 65 000 active members and the number is still growing!

ClickFunnels is quite versatile and it can be used to build landing pages, squeeze pages, membership websites, webinars, and all sorts of sales funnels for online businesses. The highest priced ClickFunnels package also allows you to start your own affiliate program and upgrade your email service (Backpack and Actionetics MD).

Regardless of which pricing plan you opt for, you will receive everything you need to market your products and services online. Take a look at their 2 Comma Club where over 300 entrepreneurs have created 1 million dollar funnels using this software!

What’s So Great About ClickFunnels?

Here are some of the top ClickFunnels features:

#1 Template Blueprints

One of the best features when it comes to ClickFunnels is the fact that you don’t have to have any experience building sales funnels. You can simply use one of their 22 different funnel templates that Russell has successfully used in his own businesses.

There are three main categories when it comes to funnel types:

  1. Lead Capture Funnels
  2. Sales Page Funnels
  3. Event Funnels

However, ClickFunnels allow you to go further and create Membership funnels as well!

The templates include simple Squeeze Page Funnels where you can collect people’s email addresses and send them to a thank you page once they sign up. There are also more complex funnels such as the 2-Step TripWire funnel, which is designed to sell low ticket front-end products and upsell visitors to your more expensive offers.

For each funnel type you are going to have a set of free templates, as well as additional paid options. Therefore, you don’t need any designer skills to get started building your own sales funnel.

Speaking of which, building a sales funnel with ClickFunnels is very easy. Here’s an overview of the steps you need to take:

  1. Select a funnel type.
  2. Choose a template.
  3. Customize each page according to your business and preferences.
  4. Add your products. Make sure payments are set up as well.
  5. Set a domain name for the funnel.
  6. Save the funnel.

#2 Great Visual Editor

Besides having ready-made templates available, you can further customize each template using a well-designed drag and drop editor. You can simply use your mouse to drag different elements across the page to add your own twist to it.

If you don’t feel like doing all the work but you still want to incorporate some of your designs into the funnel, the editor will help you get the best of both worlds. On top of that, the editor is very intuitive to use so you don’t even need a tutorial to figure it out.

Everything is organized very neatly so you don’t have to spend minutes looking for elements or features you want to add. Most importantly, there is absolutely no coding required during this process.

#3 Great Page Elements

Page elements are an important part of your funnel. They allow you to create a good visual design that will match your business and branding. ClickFunnels gives you plenty of flexibility when it comes to choosing different page elements.

Some of the most important elements include Headline, Text, Button, Photo, Video widgets, and Input forms. The software goes a step further and provides additional components including SMS signups, pricing tables, surveys, progress bars, FAQ blocks, countdown timers, Facebook comments, and custom HTML.

Just like page templates, each element can be further customized so you can change the background colors, fonts, margins, and orientation. You can also play around with specialized Membership elements and image URL as well.

#4 Awesome Affiliate Program

As we’ve already mentioned, ClickFunnels has a great affiliate program that you can take part in. It pays 40% recurring commissions for each referral you make. On top of that, you can win great prices like 500$ as soon as you bring in 100 active referrals.

You can also refer people to the affiliate program to take advantage of their 2-tier commissions. Other ways to earn up to 40% commission is to promote products DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets.

Moreover, the ClickFunnels’ Sticky Cookie will earn you commissions every time your referral purchases an upsell during their ClickFunnels journey. Lastly, the members of the affiliate program get access to a unique feature called share funnels.

If you go to the settings tab, you can get your share funnel URL and, whenever a member of ClickFunnels visits it, they will be able to bring this funnel into their account. Those who are not members will get a 14-day free trial to test your funnel.

What we Don’t Like About ClickFunnels

#1 Adding Funnels is Slow

One thing we disliked about ClickFunnels is the waiting time after you add a funnel to your account. It takes 8 to 10 seconds for this process to be complete and, even though it doesn’t sound like a lot, it can be annoying at times.

#2 Limits on the Cheapest Plan

If you opt for the most affordable ClickFunnels plan, you will face significant limitations. You will only be able to create 20 funnels and 100 pages, as well as bring in only 20 000 visitors.

If you’re expecting heavier traffic (which is always better), you will have to upgrade to a more expensive plan. Besides, if you’re plaanning on doing client work, 20 funnels won’t be nearly enough for you. Consider upgrading to the Etison Suite Plan for unlimited funnels and pages.

#3 Might Take Time to Learn

It might be easy to understand the gist of what ClickFunnels is for but once you sit in front of the platform, things might get a little intimidating. The process of learning how to use ClickFunnels and drive the best results from your efforts might take extra time. Luckily, the platform is well-designed in terms of helping beginners understand everything they need to know.

Pricing Plans at ClickFunnels

ClickFunnels is currently available at two different monthly-based plans. The more affordable version is the 97$ per month plan, which is more than enough for beginners to explore the platform and start getting the hang of how things work. However, keep in mind that the cheaper plans comes with the mentioned limitations and it also doesn’t provide access to features such as Actionetics and Backpack.

Once you’re ready to upgrade and access all these features, you can switch to the Etison Suite plan that goes for 297$ per month. While many have asked for discount codes and coupons, there seem to be no such things for ClickFunnels. However, there is a way to bring the costs down significantly if you purchase Funnel Hacks. For a one-time price of 997$, Funnel Hacks will give you six months of the Etison Suite plan for free.

Even though there are no codes and coupons to use, you can always sign up for the free trial to test things out. For those who are on a budget, the unadvertise Share Funnel Plan can bring a solution for 19$ per month. This plan only allows for three funnels and ten pages but it’s a good deal if you’re getting started.

Everything You Need to Know

The ClickFunnels Support

The team behind ClickFunnels use Intercom for live chat support, allowing you to get in touch with them quickly. Even though they might take a while to respond sometimes, their support is still very reliable. Your inquiries will be answered and resolved within a few hours of submitting the question.

Do You Need Your Own Domain

Even though having your own domain is not mandatory to launch a funnel, we highly recommend it because a custom domain can make your funnel seem more professional and thus drive better results. If you don’t get your own domain, the domain of your funnel will look like this: https://username.clickfunnels.com. No one likes those! The good news is that ClickFunnels will give you your first domain for free as a bonus, along with SSL for security.

Does ClickFunnels Have an Active Community?

Yes, in fact, ClickFunnels has one of the largest communities online with over 100 000 members in their Facebook group. They also have a group for affiliate members called the ClickFunnels Avengers group that counts over 30 000 members. You can join the groups to communicate with other users of the software as well as share your questions and ideas.

What Integrations Are Offered by ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels can be integrated with email marketing software and a variety of payment providers including Stripe, PayPal, Infusionsoft, Clickbank, and Authorize.net among others. Keep in mind that PayPal doesn’t support One ClickUpsells and One Time Offers, which might be a deal breaker for many users. In that case, Stripe is the best alternative for you.

The Funnel Hacks System Explained

The additional features that come with Funnel Hacks include:

  • 6 Week Funnel Hacks Master Class ($2,997 value)
  • Instant Traffic Hacks ($1,997 value)
  • Inception Secrets ($1,997 value)
  • SOAP & Seinfeld Email Sequences ($997 value)

Is ClickFunnels a Scam?

The frequency with which people are promoting ClickFunnels through the affiliate program has made many doubt the software. However, ClickFunnels is not in any way a scam. It is a legit software that happens to have a very lucrative affiliate program and people are getting the most out of it. If you’re planning on building sales funnels, there is no doubt that ClickFunnels is by far the best option to go for.

What Else is ClickFunnels Used For?

Besides typical sales funnels, the software can be used to built opt-in funnels to generate more leads for your email marketing campaign and build a strong email list. It is also used for building webinar funnels for the purpose of selling products or services, or building membership sites to provide limited access to your premium content.

How to Make ClickFunnels Work for You?

In order for your sales funnel to be successful, you first need to have a good product or service you’re aiming to sell. If you don’t have a product or service to market, you can promote ClickFunnels as an affiliate, even though actually using it to build funnels could be more useful.

A good sales funnel needs to have a good value ladder to ensure success and profitability. Be ready to invest your time and money into designing and building the value ladder that will keep your existing customers interested in your products.

You can start by creating a lead magnet to draw people into the funnel and then lift the price up with strategic upsells. Make sure not to go overboard with the upsells because, if you start being too pushy, you will scare the customers away.

To get the best out of your ClickFunnels subscription, we highly recommend reading Russel’s book DotComSecrets to learn more about his million dollar funnels and the process behind them. Pay attention to how he moves from a low-cost tripwire (DotComSecrets) to promoting a larger offer (ClickFunnels). That is the exact strategy you should be implementing for your business using this sales funnelsoftware.

Russel also created his own large community of people interested in the things he has to offer. He basically created an environment where he can constantly upsell products and events like Funnel Hackers Live and Funnel Scripts.

ClickFunnels Alternatives

LeadPages

There are several alternatives to ClickFunnels out there, including SamCart and LeadPages. For instance, LeadPages is one of the most popular landing page builders on the market. It offers a variety of page building tools, including the new Checkout widget that allows you to sell products directly on their pages.

They also offer a wide array of templates and designs to make page building easier even for those who don’t have much experience. However, it is important to emphasize that LeadPages is much more limited compared to ClickFunnels. All you can use it for is to create landing pages to collect leads.

LeadPages is great at what it offers, that is, the ability to grow your email list by using content upgrades. This includes placing lead magnets into your articles to increase conversion rates. This strategy is far more effective than the old pop-up version that everyone hates these days.

Some of the main features of LeadPages include LeadBoxes, 2-step opt-ins, and automatic lead magnet delivery. Thus, LeadPages is a great choice if you want to focus on lead generation only. However, if your goal is to actually sell a product or service, ClickFunnels is a far better solution. It allows you to boost your sales in countless ways and strategies as soon as you learn how to leverage all its tools.

SamCart can be used to build better and more optimized checkout pages for high conversions. Being focused on selling, SamCart is much more similar to ClickFunnels than LeadPages. This alternative features Strip and PayPal integration with a total of 17 checkout page templates.

Each template can be additionally customized to match the image ofyour business or brand. However, there is no doubt that Clickfunnels’ drag and drop editor is far more advanced than SamCart’s customization tools. ClickFunnels allows you to design more advanced checkout pages, while SamCart is limited to pre-made templates.

However, if you’re a beginner, SamCart will help you add order bumps, upsells, and downsells more easily. All of these features will help you increase conversions. One thing that SamCart can’t help you with is lead capturing and buidling complete sales funnels. Since both SamCart and ClickFunnels have a starting price of 97$, we believe that ClickFunnels is a much better investment.

Haven’t you already done Funnel Hacking?

And what is it?

Taking an already existing funnel and harvesting ideas and core elements from it to build your own unique funnel is what is termed as Funnel Hacking.

Funnel Hacking is simply a subset of GROWTH HACKING. You’ve heard of it. Probably not… still, find out.

There are many innovative terminologies often used to disguise hacking. Like “benchmarking”, “model mentoring”, “emulating”, “experiential learning from peers”, “exploratory peer proofing”, etc. So, it isn’t an alien concept rather than a medium through which knowledge permeate from one end to another… often, without ‘permission’.

And, what’s so good about Funnel Hacking?

If you’ve ever hitch-hiked, then you would know how a free ride saves miles of aching muscles. The same is the case with Funnel Hacking:

  • Funnel Hacking saves you the agony of starting from scratch and its painful lessons – blunders, failures, loss of fun in the loneliness of crafting your own funnel, the cost of experiments, and many other costs and sacrifices.
  • Funnel Hacking also enables you to ride on proven success and reap its gain –  Obviously, you don’t hack into a non-performing funnel. Rather, you hack into an already successful funnel. Indeed, what you are actually hacking is not the funnel per se, but rather, a success.
  • Funnel Hacking grants you the unfair advantage of innovating the invention – The funnel that you hack into is already invented. Thus, over 90% of the work is already done for you. But, don’t be lazy. Work smart on innovating this invention. The great thing with innovation is that you reap more for less. You outsmart the inventor by redirecting the effort you would have otherwise spent on invention into expanding the rewards of it… all to yourself.

How does ClickFunnels help you to optimize your hacking endeavor?

The greatest risk of hacking is that, instead of hacking a solution, you could end up hacking a problem. Hacking a problem means that you end up worse off than if you hadn’t hacked at all.

ClickFunnels provides you with A/B Testing tools. These tools enable you to carry out a split test of your hacked innovation and gauge the performance of each replica.

Thus, you will be able to test each of the various clone derivatives and find which works best for you. Furthermore, you can use these tools to refine the hacking so that you are able to get the most optimal clone.

Some of the refining works could include optimizing landing page layout by testing the effect of different images, backgrounds, or colors.

You can also refine your Call-To-Action by split testing different versions of it and determining which one does best.

Well, you have had the goodies, but…

How Much Can ClickFunnels Afford You?

How much do you expect from your Return on Investment (ROI)?

If ClickFunnels started from ZERO to over $100,000,000 in a span of just 3 years, what about you?

Figure this out and see the BIG PICTURE.

Looking at how much you are capable of making… and bearing in mind that YOU ARE NOT STARTING FROM ZERO BUT WITH CLICKFUNNELS, then every dime that you pay ClickFunnels to do the heavy lifting for you is worth it.

If all these people have made over a million dollars on ClickFunnels, why not you?

You have no better option than to ride on ClickFunnel’s success. You need not reinvent the wheel. You don’t have to begin from ZERO as ClickFunnels did. It did that for you so that your multi-million-dollar success journey could be easier for you.

Don’t break your back or empty your bank. ClickFunnels is the assurance that you need to save your back from breaking and fatten your bank account.

You can even start from a ZERO INVESTMENT by taking the free 14-day trial offer!

A competitive edge is for those who rely on smart metrics to make precise decisions. Untargeted decisions are simply dumb decisions… erratic, wasteful, and unrewarding. With the ClickFunnels dashboard, you can get smart metrics on the performance of your sales funnel and even recommendations on how you can tweak and reposition the sales funnel to capture those elusive leads.

When you want to fine-tune your marketing campaign, split testing becomes inevitable. ClickFunnels makes split testing work as easy as ABC… you can create several split tests and still gain incisive metrics about the performance of each.

How to Create a Killer Webinar (Part 4/4)

How to Build a Successful Webinar Funnel for Beginners Cont.

Welcome back to our comprehensive guide to building a successful funnel and driving traffic to your webinar. Make sure to check out parts 1 and 2 and 3 of the guide before you proceed, as we did cover some of the most important points over there.

In the first and second part of the guide, we discussed the importance and efficiency of webinar funnels in general, as well as why deployment schedules play a crucial role in your success. We mentioned Facebook ads in there as a means of getting more traffic to your landing page.

The third part consisted of a more detailed analysis of how to turn simple social media ads into high converting campaigns, as well as how to optimize your landing page for guaranteed success.

Another thing we mentioned in there was how to capture crucial information from your visitors in order to launch a successful retargeting campaign and get as many people as possible to sign up for the webinar.

It might sound like we’ve covered it all, but there are still some details we need to look into. In the fourth section of the guide, we are going to go back to retargeting and the critical methods you can use to win people over.

Retargeting is the most crucial part of marketing a webinar.

This method is responsible for converting the warm audience and turning them into excited attendees of your online event.

Now it is time to use retargeting to make sure the people who already signed up get excited about what awaits them at the webinar.

It is important to pay attention to details when preparing your retargeting emails because almost 1 in 4 email users report email as spam just for the fun of it.

To avoid being classified as a spammer, you need to step up your email writing skills. You can check out a guide to writing stellar emails and scripts right here.

For now, we are going to discuss some of the crucial aspects of writing emails, as well as how to make sure your message gets heard. We will include some valuable information about SMS marketing as well so stay tuned!

What Is Retargeting and Why Is It Important?

If you remember what we talked about in the previous sections, you already know that retargeting is a marketing method used to follow up with your customers through targeted campaigns.

Retargeting messages come in many shapes and forms including ads, text messages, consultations calls, and emails. The mission behind every retargeting campaign is to draw people in even closer and make them anticipate the event they signed up for.

With so many platforms available these days, there are so many possibilities to send retargeting messages. Email is definitely the most common choice but it’s not the only option out there.

To understand the importance of retargeting, take a look at these statistics:

Reports have proven that email retargeting campaigns tied to purchases can reduce high abandonment rates.

Moreover, these campaigns seem to be more efficient than social media marketing thanks to the more personalized approach.

Besides getting people excited, retargeting can be used to convert previous visitors into potential customers even after they have left your site.

It is quite clear that retargeting campaigns are a must if you want to succeed with your next webinar.

Pro Tip: You can create specific and targeted campaigns for any subset of your data base. You don’t have to limit it only to the people who have already signed up for your webinar. Perhaps having a separate campaign for people who attended your previous events could be a good way of growing the number of attendees for your upcoming webinar.

Personalizing Your Emails

Maintaining a high open rate is very important when it comes to email marketing. You’ll find many strategies that will help you improve this statistic but we are going to focus on the most important one, which is personalization.

Almost 100 billion spam emails are sent out all over the world every single day. People are finding it difficult to sift through all the emails they receive on a daily basis so most of them goes unnoticed.

Studies confirm that people’s attention spans have gotten so short that you only have around 3 seconds to grab their attention or else your email will go to waste.

Statistics also confirm that messages based on previous customer behaviors are more likely going to be opened.

When targeting people through email marketing, you have to go a step further to make sure your message gets heard.

Start by creating an eye-catching title that contains the most relevant information. Try to use words “you” or “your” to make the message more personalized.

Make sure every email you send out is customized to the specific customer and that it contains their name at the top. You can automate this process so you don’t have to write every single email by yourself.

Most importantly, come up with a way to make a message more engaging and intriguing instead of just reminding them of the upcoming webinar. Perhaps let your readers know that they can ask questions or email you directly if they have any inquiries.

This might seem like a small detail but, in reality, the details are what make emails work so well. For instance, research conducted by Aberdeen Group has shown that personalizing emails can significantly increase open and click-through rates of your campaign.

Pro Tip: Besides personalizing the message using the recipient’s name, make sure to consider other important factors such as their age and location.

Setting Up Your Retargeting Campaign

Setting up your retargeting campaign is an important part of the overall process, especially if this is your first time doing so. You can choose to set up your campaign any way you like but we decided to give you a ready-made template to help you get better results.

Before we get started, keep in mind that it is best to prepare emails in advance rather to wait for the last minute to get them done. This way you will be able to focus on the quality of the email and you won’t have to rush just to get it over with.

Besides, if you start feeling nervous about your webinar and the campaign, at least you will know that your retargeting emails are ready to be sent out automatically. With that said, here’s the template we prepared for you:

#1 Email – You’re Registered for the Webinar

Even though you already have a thank you page set up (if you were paying attention to the previous parts of our guide), it is a great idea to send out a confirmation email as well.

This will confirm the registration in the visitor’s mind and it will let them know that you are open to communicate. Thus, they can expect more emails to come from you.

#2 Email – 36 Hour Reminder

Next up, prepare a reminder email to be sent out 36 hours before the event. This will jog the audience’s memory and perhaps encourage them to list your webinar into their weekly planner.

You can also use this opportunity to include an important link such as a link to your Youtube channel or a worksheet for the webinar. Make sure to include some kind of call-to-action to get them moving.

#3 Email – 24 Hour Reminder

This is a more precise reminder where you need to include crucial information such as the exact time of the day your webinar is going to take place. This will allow the audience to clear their schedule for the next day and make some time for your event.

Make sure to keep this message short and concise to avoid any confusion. You want the audience to focus on the time of the event so they don’t miss out on it.

#4 1 Hour Reminder

Once you get down to one hour before the event, it’s time to create some urgency. Research has proven that creating a sense of urgency is crucial in all types of marketing. Just in case people have a busy day, you can use the one hour reminder to make sure the webinar doesn’t slip their mind.

Mention that you’re excited to have them attend the event to boost the personalization. It’s also a good idea to ask them what they would like to hear you talk about. This will give the audience the feeling of being involved in the organization of the event.

#5 SMS 10 Minute Reminder

If you paid attention to our guide from the beginning, you know that it is important to collect people’s phone numbers.  If you have their number, send out 10 minute reminders via SMS.

Make sure to keep the message under 20 words and try not to sound too pushy. Just let them know that the event is about to start and that you’re waiting to see them there. It’s a good idea to use Twilio integration with ClickFunnels to make this step easier.

#6 Email – Going Live Now!

If you already have some experience with webinars or if you’ve watched many of them, you know that the Going Live Now email has to be sent out ten minutes before the actual start of the event.

This gives people some time to get to their computer and join the webinar in time. They won’t feel pressured to run and sign in because they will have ten minutes to settle down and get comfortable.

Pro Tip: This is a plain email template that is proven to work efficiently. However, you can add your own twist to it if you want to share additional links or content. Whatever you do, make sure to keep it short and concise.

And that’s it! You now have a pre-webinar funnel that will help you drive traffic, collect valuable information, and create a sense of urgency. The funnel will also help you attract more people to the webinar and maintain high attendee rates.

Make sure to stay tuned for more guides and valuable information on our site! Don’t forget to check out the free guide on how to create the perfect webinar.

How To Build a Successful Webinar Funnel Cont.

Welcome to the third part of our webinar funnel series where we simplify the process of building a funnel to a point where even the beginners can do it! In the last part of the series, we focused on marketing, schedules, and Facebook ads as the main method of driving traffic.

While that might sound like funnel building in a nutshell, there are plenty of other things we need to be focused on. After all, we just got started. This series will help you get the best out of your next webinar and max out all of its potential.

A simple webinar is a great way to showcase your marketing skills and provide value to your industry. Why not collect some leads and make sales while you’re at it? Some reports state that it takes up to 13 marketing steps to develop a hot lead.

A successful webinar can be a shortcut to this process as it will provide exposure for your brand and the ability to test the quality of your sales funnel. With that said, let’s get started with the second part of the series where we will look at landing pages in more detail. We will also touch up on capturing lead information and getting the buzz started!

How to Capture Attention with the Landing Page

In the previous part of the series, you learned how to set up Facebook ads. Now you have to determine the location that your ads will lead to. If you simply direct your visitors to your general website, they might get lost in all the information and end up leaving before taking any action.

One of the most important keys to building a successful webinar is making things clear and simple to understand. To avoid any confusion or bad user experience, direct your visitors to a clear and comprehensive landing page.

Here are some tips on how to increase the efficiency of your landing page:

1. Optimize the Headline

People’s attention span has shortened extremely over the past couple of decades. Believe it or not, 8 out of 10 people don’t even read past the headline. What this tells us is that an interesting and captivating headline is the key to grabbing people’s attention.

To write a killer headline that will drive traffic to your funnel, focus on shaping a clear message in few words. Make sure the headline is short and exciting, and that it contains a call-to-action that invites visitors to enter their information (you’ll see why in just a minute)!

2. Choose the Right Image

They say an image is worth a thousand words. This couldn’t be more true, especially when it comes to online webinars. Images are a great way to generate interest and raise awareness about certain topics.

For instance, if you use a plain stock photo that can be seen on any random site, you’re less likely going to generate any results from it. However, if you find a vibrant image that has a “wow” effect to it, we can guarantee that your visitors will be more likely to proceed with your funnel.

3. Keep It Simple

People’s attention spans are already short enough, you don’t have to stretch their patience even further by complicating the sign up process. The more steps there is to sign up for the webinar, the less likely people are going to go through with it.

Luckily, this problem can be solved easily. Just keep things simple and focus on a single action page as a way of capturing leads. A simple “Sign up now” button is enough to keep the visitors engaged without losing their interest.

Pro Tip: When selecting the landing page image, use an image related to the one you posted in the Facebook ad. This will create a nice consistency and a more dynamic feeling.

Why Is Capturing Lead Information Important?

Nowadays, people are expecting to receive some sort of a follow up before the event as a confirmation that their seat has been reserved. According to recent research, 43% of customers report that they are ore likely to convert if the marketing campaign includes good and consistent follow-ups.

If you’re not capturing people’s information when they sign up for the webinar, you’re letting them go before they even come to you. Collecting lead information will help you retarget those people and follow up with them until the event takes place.

Retargeting will keep the leads interested and excited for your event. If you simply ignored them past the sign up point, chances are most of the leads will either lose interest or completely forget about the webinar.

Research suggests that retargeted content increases searches and site visits, thus helping drive more traffic to your business. This can be done through email follow ups, SMS, or in-store push notifications. Some even take the retargeting further and schedule consultation calls with their leads.

There’s more evidence that customers react positively to retargeted material, which is why you should start capturing info right away. Here are a few tips to help you collect lead information:

Ask for the Right Information

In order to properly retarget your leads, you need to collect useful information that includes their name, email, and phone number. There is no need to over-complicate things with additional details such as addresses or age. Simply ask for the basic information that will help you leverage both email and mobile.

Capture Info the Right Way

After all, email addresses and phone numbers are considered personal information. Therefore, it is important how you ask for it. Avoid sounding too pushy or intrusive. The main goal here is to create a feeling of trust in order to form a positive relationship with your leads.

Pro tip: If you’ve held webinars previously, you can ask visitors if they have already attended one of your past webinars. If so, they can skip this step and offer them to log into their existing account. This will improve user experience and make your webinar look more professional.

Start Generating Buzz

If you’re asking yourself what generating the buzz even means, the entire concept is very simple. It means getting people excited about your webinar to the point where they are anticipating the event.

You want people to be so excited about the webinar that they start talking to their friends and colleagues about it. Word of mouth has always been one of the most effective forms of marketing and, by generating the buzz, you can leverage it completely free of charge.

Create a Thank You Page

Remember, you’re building the webinar to create trustworthy and positive relationships with potential leads and customers. To do so, make sure they feel appreciated once they sign up for the webinar.

After they submit the info you asked for, send them to a thank you page to let them know you appreciate their interest and the effort to sign up. To take things a step further, put a video on your thank you page.

It has been proven that thank you pages with video material increase conversions by almost 90%, which is a huge number! Make sure to consider adding a fun and valuable video to boost the overall success of the funnel.

Prepare a Worksheet

Another good way to make sure people show up at your webinar is to provide them with a ready-made worksheet. A free worksheet will help maintain their interest and hold them accountable for the next step.

Since they have already applied and they have a printable worksheet, they are more likely to stick through the entire process. It’s also a good idea to include the date and the time of the webinar as a reminder.

Use Contests to Drive More Traffic

You have to face it, not everyone is going to be open to providing their information, even if it’s as simple as an email address and a phone number. However, a contest can motivate them to take that extra step closer to the goal.

Offering a unique prize can increase the conversion rates massively and, if you let the attendees know that you will announce the winner during the webinar, they are definitely going to show up!

Don’t Forget the Social Media Buttons

Setting up social media buttons on your thank you page can significantly increase conversions, as your already converted leads will have a chance to share the webinar with their friends and followers.

Let them generate the buzz for you by using Facebook and Twitter buttons to share the news about the contest and the webinar. The additional linkbacks will also boost your SEO efforts, which is always a plus!

How to Build a Successful Webinar Funnel

Webinars have emerged in the past couple of years as one of the most important marketing strategies. They’re not only affordable but also highly valuable for your audience. Using a webinar, you can get people interested in your brand or product in less than 30 minutes.

According to research studies, 61% of professional marketers rely on webinars to boost the success of their marketing campaigns. However, despite using webinars frequently, most of them struggle with structuring the hook of their offer and turning a webinar into a sales funnel.

Even though it might seem simple to put together a few slides and hold a presentation, building a successful webinar is more challenging than you think. It’s not only about making the audience love the content you provide. They are going to appreciate the mini-seminar you created to interact with them.

However, the success of the webinar as a sales funnel depends on the sales you manage to pull out of it. If you’re wondering was my webinar successful? Could it have been any better?

We’ve got an answer that will end your doubts once and for all. One simple method to turning any webinar into a successful campaign is to properly set up a webinar funnel.

That’s exactly what we’re going to be dealing with in this 3 part series. Let’s get started with the step by step process of launching a webinar funnel.

What to Expect From Your Funnel

We’ve seen successful webinars with thousands of people in the audience and we’ve seen those with only a dozen. This leads us to conclude that it is important for the creator to know what they are expecting out of their own webinar.

It is necessary to set up realistic goals for the campaign in order to understand how well your content is performing. Only an average of 50% of registrants attend the actual webinar according to the statistics.

A similar percentage of your landing page visitors will actually register. At this stage of the process, we need to focus on increasing the number of people who register so that we can increase our overall audience.

Pro Tip: Let relevant ideas guide you while building the funnel.

To gain more perspective into this matter, ask yourself questions like “what demographics will most enjoy my webinar content?” or “are my sign up questions too invasive?

Planning a Deployment Schedule

The next important step of the process is to establish a deployment schedule. Cutting corners for your general sales funnels can hurt the conversion rates. The same goes for webinar deployment schedules.

By now you understand that setting up a webinar is a complex process that requires lots of interaction prior to the actual event.

If you put some effort in choosing the best time to host the event and scheduling a specific date for your webinar, things will go much smoother along the way.

Like any marketing campaign, webinars can be held at good or bad times. It is best to avoid the bad times by using online tools for laying out your schedule.

However, if you want to keep things simple, you can use a Google Calendar to mark the date when you will be ready to present your content.

The whole point of this step is to plan out your content well in advance so the entire scheduling and presenting process would go much more smoothly.

Pro Tip: These two resources (1 and 2) will help you determine the best time for your webinar.

More about Utilizing Ads

One of the primary aims of any successful webinar is to bring new customers to your company or brand. If you only post your webinar link to your website, you won’t be inviting anyone else other than your already existing audience.

The point is to use the webinar to draw new people in and the best way to do that is to leverage what the digital world has given us – the social media networks.

According to DMR stats, Facebook ads take up almost 20% of all global digital ads, which means there is a great opportunity for you to jump in and take a piece of that pie.

Since Facebook has almost 1.5 billion users, you are definitely going to find people who are interested in the content you have to offer.

Let’s take a look at your options when it comes to creating Facebook ads. By far the best method to grow your audience using Facebook ads is to use the Facebook ad pixel. However, we are going to focus on driving traffic to the webinar using the simplest Facebook ad methods.

1. Choose an Image and Ad Size

Before creating the actual ad, you need to determine its size. We’re going choose the  size recommended by Facebook, which is 1 200 x 628 pixels. You can refer to their handy guide in case you need more help with setting up the ad.

Make sure to choose a powerful image that will capture people’s attention and encourage them to take action. Keep in mind that you can’t just use a photo of a cute puppy, it has to have a strong connection to the actual webinar.

2. Create Content and a Call-to-Action

Next up, you have to make sure that the message you’re advertising reaches your audience the right way. Make sure to create content that combines valuable information about the content of your webinar yet puts enough emphasis on the benefits people could gain from it.

Ask yourself what the audience is going to get out of this webinar. Will they learn more about the industry, will they get motivated, or learn some new tricks and tips related to the topic?

Make sure your ad content is simple and concise. Don’t forget to include a strong call-to-action at the end to encourage people to sign up.

3. Start Your Campaign

The actual process of setting up a basic ad campaign on Facebook is very simple. Here are some of the key steps:

  1. Go to Facebook and select the Ads Manager on the left side menu. You will be taken to the basic dashboard where you can create and manage all your ads, as well as check the statistics of already existing campaigns.
  2. Click the Create Campaign button to start a new ad campaign for the Webinar. Make sure to fill in your billing and payment information so everything is ready to go once the ad is set up. To do so, click Ad Manager at the top and select Billing and Payment Methods.
  3. Next up, you have to choose where the ad is going to send your audience to. If you’re not using an ad pixel, it is best to choose Send People to Your Website. However, you can play around with the options if you want to implement a specific ad strategy.
  4. Now you have to fill out the audience info, which will depend on your business and the type of content you provide. Think of the type of viewers who would gain value from your webinar and try to target their similar interests. The audience definition gauge on the right side will help you determine how many people your campaign is going to reach.
  5. Lastly, decide your ad budget and finish filling up the relevant information on the next page. Make sure to use the ads preview to see what your ad will look like once live. Check whether it looks good across all devices to ensure best results. Now you’re ready to go!

Pro Tip: You can also add custom audiences using the Create a Custom Audience link on your audience selection page. This lets you use the data from previous customers to better target your new audience.

4. How Long Should You Run the Ad Campaign?

Most people usually shut off their ad campaigns a day or two before the webinar. It seems like a reasonable way to save some budget since the ad has already done its job.

However, this is not the best thing to do. While it is true that 75% of Facebook ad engagement happens in the first five hours of posting, there’s a lot more that goes on later.

Even when the ad traffic starts slowing down, it is good to keep it running all the way until your webinar starts. According to webinar attendance and viewership statistics, almost 25% of attendees sign up at the very day of the event.

That means shutting down your ads too soon could hurt the attendance rate. It is recommended to keep your ad running until the webinar is done.

Pro Tip: Learn how a Facebook ad pixel can help you track conversion rates more efficiently.

In the second part of our guide we will tackle the best practices for creating landing pages and capturing customers. Stay tuned for a lot of fun and valuable information.

The Guide to Creating a Successful Webinar That Sells for Beginners

Welcome to our 4 part series on how to create a perfect webinar. Let’s jump right in. Standing out from the internet crowd is an inevitable part of your content marketing strategy. This is especially the case if you desire to convert viewers into buyers.

What strategy would you employ to rise above the crowd?

Interactive visibility is the secret. No tool does this better than a webinar! Through a carefully crafted engaging and inspiring content, you can easily convert viewers into customers by use of lively and informative discussion.

This mode of engaging conversion is supported by GoToWebinar study, which found out that webinar is the most magnetic media when it comes to attracting consumers and engaging them in a constructive and beneficial way. This is proven by the fact that consumers are willing to spend more time on a webinar than any other type of marketing media.

The webinar is the most magnetic media when it comes to attracting consumers and engaging them in a constructive and beneficial discussion.

When it comes to branding, webinar leads other media in terms of brand validation. Potential consumers and the general audience easily gain trust with a brand that uses webinar than any other mode of communication and engagement. This arouses more interest from the potential consumers and the general viewership.

Most marketers avoid webinars simply because they lack the know-how. However, starting with trial-and-error is the best way to begin. All is required is an open mind and a positive attitude. Putting adequate content preparation and consistent practice helps to minimize errors.

While there is no one-fits-all formula on how to create a webinar, there are general rules of thumb on how to go about it. We are going to discuss what you need in order to create an impactful webinar.

Grounding the Basics

To be on the same page, let us, first of all, remind ourselves of what a webinar is.

So, what is a webinar?

A webinar is simply an engaging live video presentation, in a seminar format, that is used to communicate, inform, instruct, train or educate viewers on important topical issues.

Webinars are widely used in high-end marketing communication to introduce a product, demonstrate product features, and instruct customers on how to use the product.

Webinars are widely used in high-end marketing communication to introduce a product, demonstrate product features, and instruct customers on how to use the product.

The primary aim of marketing webinar is to acquire, nurture and convert potential leads.

What do you need to create a powerful webinar?

There are three crucial things you need to create a powerful webinar… a goal, a host, and a call to action. We will take you through this in the following three simple steps:

1. Set up a Goal

Remember, you are in a game to score. Thus, to be a winner in this game, you have to establish a SMART goal. Some of the common goals include: to inform, to educate, to nurture, to convert, to build trust, and to create loyalty, among others. Thus, the webinar should have two main parts:

  • Informative and empowering content (the what, not the how!)
  • A call to action (sales pitch)

We will discuss these two parts later on.

2. Prepare and Host the Webinar

The first step in preparation is to know what it takes to make a webinar. ClickFunnels offers a great tutorial on how to create a perfect webinar – for free. Simply click here to get started.

Equipped with this important piece of information, the next thing to do is to find out the best webinar hosting system. Clickfunnels, Zoom or GoToWebinar are some of the best in the market today.

Before the presentation, you need to ascertain that your hosting system works. First of all, ensure that you are connected to a fast internet. Next, ensure that the webcam and microphone are in working condition. Lastly, confirm that other webinar tools are ready.

Once you are sure that the hosting conditions are ripe, the next thing to do is to publicize the webinar so that potential viewers become aware of it. We will discuss this further later on.

3. Call out your Audience into Action

If your objective is to convert viewers into customers, then, the call to action will involve a sales pitch. In the case of non-conversion, call to action may an invitation to an event, an invitation to interview, etc.

Marketing webinars always ends with a sales pitch in which you invite customers to subscribe for a demo, receive a sample, or buy the product straight away. Even if the webinar is not for marketing purpose, it has to end with a call to action.

Want to know how Webinars Work? Here are the tidbits

Live webinars work the same way as a seminar (from which they derive their name), only that they are on the web (online).

Like in all seminars, you have the freedom of creativity when it comes to how you want your webinar to come out. You are absolutely in charge of how to conduct it.

Once you are done with the live webinar, you can post the recording (as video) on your promotional sites. You can as well publicize it on social media network and even email it to your existing and prospective customers.

Why PowerPoint is an Inevitable Companion to Your Webinar Session

When it comes to converting slide presentation into a webinar, there is no alternative match to PowerPoint.

With PowerPoint, you have a huge array of slide templates to choose from. You can also choose your preferred themes and transitions.

PowerPoint is great when it comes to presenting information in a visual-graphic form such as charts, graphs, etc.

You can either incorporate the PowerPoint presentation as part of your live discussion or as a standalone presentation. Whichever the case, you still need to carry out background research in terms of target viewership, timing, and hosting.

Want to Convert Your Viewers into Buyers?

Here is the rule of thumb on what you ought to do

1. Take advantage of Facebook Ads

With over 2 billion users, Facebook is the largest social media network. You can leverage this massive population to catapult your webinar as a tool for converting viewers into buyers.

Like in a big forest, without a proper strategy, you may end up being lost in the world of Facebook. To prevent this, it is important to carry out adequate research on your target viewership. Only then can you be able to make a proper presentation that will create a following and engineer intended outcome.

For example, in researching your target viewership, consider their demographics, location, timing, motivations, tastes, and preferences and then employ Facebook metrics to target your ads.

In researching your target viewership, consider their demographics, location, timing, motivations, tastes, and preferences and then employ Facebook metrics to target your ads.

Timing is extremely important, use Facebook analytical data to determine the most appropriate time of the day to post your advert. Also, determine the most appropriate days of the week to do so.

For maximum impact, RSVPing and other forms of Call-To-Action should accompany your interaction and engagement with your audience on Facebook.

With about 29% of webinar attendees signing up on the day of the presentation, you must allow Facebook Ads to be active on the day of the presentation.

2. Make your Webinar landing page ooze out a ‘now or never’ sense of urgency

A compelling landing page headline is extremely important for your webinar campaign.

It is the one that will strike the attention of potential viewers and attract them to read more about the landing page. Thus, it just has to be magnetically compelling.

In addition to a compelling headline, make the landing page provide an easy user experience.

There should be a seamless flow in terms of navigation links. A broken link is simply abominable.

Keep details to the most minimum. Be conscious of the visitors’ time. Most of them don’t have that much time to spend on your landing page. Just request for the most minimal details from them and make a follow-up later. A name and an email or telephone contact are just enough. You can inquire about the rest of the details on a subsequent follow-up.

3. Leverage the power of compelling content to boost the worth of your webinar

People follow that which inspires them, that which raises their spirit, and that which relieves their pain-points.

As such, it is important to factor this in your webinar. Ask yourself “what potential problem exists that most of my audience would like to be solved?”

Answer this question by providing a webinar that not only solves the problem but also solves it in the most inspiring way.  Remember, whichever the solution, there will always be emotional and psychological aspects of it.

The emotional aspect could be a desire to connect. The psychological aspect could be a desire for fulfillment. Blending both as part of your solution is what creates a loyal fanatical following.

More than anything else, open up a new window of opportunities to them. Unveil a new perspective to the problem and a matching solution. Let them visualize the greater picture… in which they are proudly part of it.

4. Create a powerful follow-up system to reap from the after-sale benefits

The greatest salesmanship acumen rests in follow-ups. It is not the first sale but the after-sale follow-up that ushers in loyal and dedicated customers. A follow-up is like giving an escort to a guest.

The greatest salesmanship acumen rests in follow-ups. It is not the first sale but the after-sale follow-up that ushers in loyal and dedicated customers.

It not only gives a sense of appreciation but also some psychological “Welcome Again” signal.

A follow-up system should include an automated replay email within 24 hours after the webinar. It should also include retargeting email campaign such as upcoming webinars, subscriptions, survey feedback, among others.

To avoid negative response to emails, it is important to carry out a background survey to know how many emails your audience expects after the webinar. Don’t flood their inbox with emails as this will not only appear as spam mail but also repugnant to your campaign.

A retargeting email campaign is the best way to keep the conversion engine firing up. It is the best way of encouraging converts to buy more. And if you encourage them to forward their emails to their contacts, it becomes a greater way of generating new potential leads.

Implement the above tips and you will be assured of harvesting great returns on your webinar investment.

Funnel-Copywriting Gem: Headlines that Explode your Funnels

Internet is awash with content that flows like the mighty Amazon River and flashes web like lightning. This flow is in billions of words per day making your one article seem like a tiny particle on the floor of Pacific Ocean. Yet, not all particles are the same. A sand particle and a gold particle aren’t of the same worth.

Your article could be like that tiny atom that triggers a nuclear kind of reaction that explodes the entire web… and thus writes an evergreen history to be remembered and revisited ages to come.

So, what can make such an article to stand out and be saluted by the billions of netizens?

Well, like an atom bomb, it takes scientific precision.

Yet, unlike an atom bomb, it doesn’t require ‘rocket’ science to achieve this rare fete. Copywriting is the secret.

Master the 4 Copywriting Tips on How to Make Your Headline Work for Your Funnels

Now, I present you with 4 atomic tips to explode your funnels using a series of carefully crafted words to create a chain reaction of enthusiastic and highly inspired respondents.

Funnel Copy Tip #1: Make the Keywords Holy (and not only search-engine-friendly)

Nothing new! Keywords are the probes used by search engines to find specific content on the web as requested by internet users. Google, Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, and such other engines rely heavily on keywords to serve content to internet users.

The first landing of a search engine is the headline. For your headline to be captured by a search engine, its keywords must match the search engine’s query. Only then can your page be ranked on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP).

Search Engines incorporate commonly used keywords by internet users to search for content. Thus, you have to find out which keywords internet users are more likely to put in their search query. When you know this, and incorporate into your headline, it then becomes search-engine-friendly.

Yet, you have to incorporate the keywords in such a manner that is not only search-engine-friendly but also friendly to the readers. That which is friendly to the search engine may not be necessarily friendly to the readers, and vice versa. You’ve got to strike a balance. Yet, again, most search engines have employed algorithmic metrics that increase the ranking of a page on SERP based on positive user experience. Thus, if you want your page to persistently improve on ranking, you have to factor how the headline improves user experience. Tips 2, 3, and 4 explore this extremely important consideration.

Funnel Copy Tip #2: KISS it UP!

Keep It Succinctly Simple.

This is the next holiest thing in copywriting.

Don’t overload your readers. Let the head be smaller than the body. Let it hint without revealing that much. Let it kiss the readers’ appetite. And make them drool over for more. 🙂

Yes, the secret to being a bore is to tell everything. Let your headline not be a bore.

Suspense is the rule of the game. Let readers’ anxiety drift to the brim.

Cut out the crap and just leave that which is succulent to be availed to the readers… yet, so sweet but not enough for them to end there… it is important that they not only read through to the end, but also keep coming back.

Funnel Copy Tip #3: Effectively Delegate Your Heading

Your headline is the LEADER OF YOUR CONTENT. A poor leader is a one who is too envious not to delegate.

Let your headline lead to subheadings… and the subheadings lead to more sub-sub-headings.

Let the readers see a clear chain of command to follow in your funnel.

Let the ladder descend them step-by-step to the depth of your content.

Readers, just like miners, don’t want to risk breaking their skeletons in a one-off fall…. No matter how rich the mine may appear to be. Let them descend effortlessly to the rich mine of your funnel.

This way, they will treasure every moment of their descent… and they will appreciate every gem that they fetch.

Funnel Copy Tip #4: Make It Outstandingly Speak in Bold Letters

The brave ones stand in bold. With millions of articles on the web, it takes a bold one to stand out.

Readers on the internet scan content, the brain skims text, visitors of your funnel usually don’t read word for word. Help them to grasp the information in your funnel more quickly. If they like what they grasp within a few seconds, namely the parts you made stand out in bold, they will take time to read the rest.

A bold headline speaks of confidence. It stands by what it contains. And it is ready to welcome any challenge.

Combined with the first three tips, this boldness won’t be vacuous. It will be a one ready to lead an army of readers into the conquest of knowledge and information.

Remember, you are serving knowledge. Feebleness can’t conquer the stubborn ignorance.

If you have something worth to say, dare to put it in bold.

Let it be your rallying CALL TO ACTION.

You owe no one an apology for this. 😉

And the BOLD FINALITY is…

A holy KISS leads to Boldness.

  1. Keep Keywords holy
  2. KISS it up!
  3. Delegate the Heading
  4. Boldly stand out

With these 4 tips, your content will stand out from the rest. You will inspire a religiously enthusiastic following. And the seeds of your work will yield multiple returns. Who will stand tall to harvest the fruits? No one but you.

Click Funnels or a Website? Which is the Best Choice For Your Business?

Building a website has become an inevitable step in the process of starting a business. However, if you’ve ever built one yourself, you know how lengthy and intimidating this process can be. There are so many steps to setting up a traditional website that it has become way too time-consuming for most of us.

What would you say if there was a better solution for your business than building the same old website like everyone else? There is a better option out there that will help you get more sales by guiding your visitor through a sales process, which is something a plain website could never do.

Yes, we’re talking about sales funnels! Whether we accept it or not, sales funnels are the next best thing that will beat websites in every possible aspect. With ClickFunnels, you can use convenient and simple tools to create a high-converting funnel in no time!

If you’re stuck in that traditional mindset thinking that you don’t need anything other than a website, it is time to take a look at things from a different perspective. Sure, everyone has a website nowadays so it is easy to fall in line and follow the masses.

However, just because your business has a website, it doesn’t mean that everyone will make a purchase when they see it. In fact, the chances of making passive sales this way are very slim, especially if your site has a high bounce rate.

Instead of waiting for someone to make a purchase on a traditional website, you can create a funnel to convert visitors into customers more easily. Besides, a website requires a domain, hosting, and even coding skills if you want to make it look good. A sales funnel is easier to build and it gives you a better chance at making sales in a shorter period of time.

You can either choose to build a traditional website the tough way or take the simple ClickFunnels route and get better results while you’re at it. We are going to guide you through both processes and it is up to you to choose which one seems the best.

Creating a Traditional Website

There are many platforms out there that swear to make website building easier and less complicated. However, whichever strategy you choose, you will always circle back to the traditional tasks of building a plain old website.

The first step would be to purchase a domain. This might sound simple but, in most cases, the domains people want are already taken. Now you have to come up with a new domain name that fits your business. After dozens of attempts at finding the right domain that is also available, you will finally be ready to lock one down. Of course, you will have to pay a fee to purchase it.

Once you’re done with the domain, you need to look for a reliable hosting company to reserve servers for your website. That means more time-consuming research and more fees to your budget.

It might seem relieving to get these two steps out of the way but you still don’t have a website. It looks like you’re back at the beginning. You have to look into several different options for building a site.

You can opt for a custom website which you can build yourself if you have the time and the coding experience. If not, you can hire a professional to do it for you (more fees on the way).

A professional developer will get your site up and running for an expensive rate but they won’t make sure that the finished product actually sells. This means you will spend a ton of money without having a site that is guaranteed to convert.

Another option is to choose a site building platform or a content management system such as WordPress or Shopify. They provide ready-made templates which you can use at the risk of being average and blending in with thousands of other sites online.

Whichever option you choose, you will have to do a lot of planning to determine which pages your site is going to consist of. Don’t forget that the page design takes a lot of time as well. Your main task would be to figure out how to design the page elements consistently so it all looks good across multiple pages on the site.

When you do the math, building a website takes a lot of time and effort. As a business owner, you should be investing your time into more critical tasks such as marketing and driving sales. Leave the DIY to someone else (if you want to deal with all the fees and expenses of hiring professionals).

The process of building a site hasn’t changed much since the very beginning of the digital age. The end product might look better than it used to but the site structures are no different than they were in 2005. Sounds outdated? That’s because it is.

Luckily, you don’t have to go through all this and end up with a plain site that looks like something built back in 2005. ClickFunnels is the future of websites and a contemporary method of setting up a business online. It guides each visitor through a targeted process, helping you make more sales every hour.

How Do Funnels Work?

The diagram from DotCom Secrets shows exactly how a sales funnel takes visitors through seven essential stages in order to maximize sales.

The first step is figuring out the temperature of the traffic that comes to your funnel, that is, the level of awareness of your brand or product. It is important to determine whether they are aware of who you are and what you can offer them. If they have no awareness at all, they are considered a “cold” audience.

The opposite would be a “warm” audience, which refers to the the visitors who are already aware of your brand but they don’t know what you offer. The visitors who have are aware of both you and your product and who have previously purchased from you are called the “hot” audience.

Once you determine which category your traffic falls into, you can drive them to a specific page with messages designed especially for them based on their knowledge of your brand and services. The next step is to provide a visitor with some sort of value in exchange for their email address. This can be an informative video, a .pdf file or a printable.

If they give away their email, the visitor will move on to the fourth stage where a paid offer would be waiting for them. Those who are interested to make a purchase will move through the fifth phase. This is your opportunity to up-sell them more value at a higher cost. The most loyal customers will gladly climb the value ladder and opt for the highest priced products.

The Importance of a Value Ladder in your Funnel

The Value Ladder is a strategy used to build trust and create loyal customers by starting with a small purchase and slowly introducing higher value products to them. Those who find the lower priced products valuable will want to get more from you and they will be willing to go higher up the ladder.

Think about it, if you offer someone a 1000$ product the first time they hear from you, it is less likely that they will trust you enough to go for it. However, if you start with a 10$ product, lead into the 40$ one, and then keep increasing the value all the way up to 1000$, they will by now have plenty of experience to know that they can trust you.

The reason why the Value Ladder is so important in online business is because it allows you to get the maximum value out of each customer in your funnel. When you look back at the traditional websites, you will realize that you only have one opportunity to sell the product. However, with a funnel you can create an efficient value ladder and maximize the purchases coming from each visitor. This way you can build a loyal audience that will stick with you for a long time.

Sales Funnels for Beginners: Understanding Sales Funnel Stages

Sales funnels have become an inevitable ingredient for successful growth in business. We’ve come to a point where growing a business online is practically impossible without a good sales funnel. There seems to be no way out other than creating a funnel that will consistently convert your audience into customers. It is very frustrating to be stuck between mediocre sales levels and stagnant growth.

However, a sales funnel could be exactly what you need to get out of that position. The truth is, not many people have experience dealing with sales funnels. There’s plenty of online content available for people to familiarize themselves with the idea of a funnel. However, once you jump further into the topic, you will find that it is more complicated than you anticipated. If that’s how you feel, you’ve come to the right place to learn!

This guide will teach you the basics of a sales funnel in no time. Whether you want to learn more about funnels in theory or you want to create one, we will answer your questions and guide you through the process of conquering sales funnels.

Let’s jump right into it with a quick and easy definition of a sales funnel.

What Is a Sales Funnel?

In order to understand the basics of sales funnel, we must go way back to its definition. If you look inside a dictionary, you’ll find that a sales funnel is a type of marketing strategy designed to turn people into interested customers who buy from you. While this definition seems quite broad, it is absolutely correct. The sales funnel process starts with a wide audience of potential customers. It gradually shrinks into these narrow passages that help promising customers find their way to your product.

You might think that sales funnels are a new trend in online business, since most online gurus are praising them nowadays. However, believe it or not, sales funnels have existed for over a hundred years. An innovative ad agency executive named Elias St. Elmo Lewis came up with the idea of a sales funnel way back in 1898. The idea came to him when he was trying to explain the buying process to create a more efficient method of converting customers. He came up with the classic funnel structure that consists of four stages. We’ll discuss the four stages below but, before we get into that, it is interesting to observe that even though marketing strategies are constantly evolving, the idea of a sales funnel has stuck around for over a century.

This leads us to conclude that mastering sales funnels is an inevitable part of your marketing journey. It is important to acknowledge that sales funnels are not always about selling a product. Yes, there are many sales funnels out there that take customers to a product page but there’s also other types of funnels used for generating leads, bringing people to the physical location of the business, or generating applications. However, no matter what type of a funnel you’re interested in, they are all based on the same principle of turning visitors into loyal customers.

The Stages of a Sales Funnel

Here are the four sales funnel stages that were originally created by Elias St. Elmo Lewis back in the 19th century.

1. Introduction

The first stage of a sales funnel is awareness. This is sort of an introduction where you need to put your product or business in front of people. Unless you own a recognizable brand, your first step to a sales funnel would be introducing your business to a potential audience. This includes letting them know who you are, what you offer, and how you can help them.

The goal of this introduction is to:

  1. Make yourself stand out and
  2. Capture their attention.

If you do so successfully, the audience members will proceed to the second stage of the funnel. Keep in mind that you only have one shot to make a first impression – so make it a good one!

2. Solution

Now that the potential customer is aware you exist, you have establish a positive relationship with them by providing a solution to their problem. At this stage, the customer needs to reevaluate their problem and see whether your product or service can be the right solution. This doesn’t mean that you need to passively sit back and wait for them to make up their mind. Instead, keep providing them with valuable and reaffirming information to guide them in a positive direction, that is, toward the third stage of the funnel.

3. Decision

Once you get them interested, the customer will be thinking about possible ways to solve their problem. This is where you want to teach them more about your business and what you’re offering. They will take a closer look at what your company does and how you can help them. However, they haven’t yet decided to make a purchase, but they do have a desire to move in that direction.

4. Action

This is the final stage of a sales funnel where desire turns into action. In other words, if you’ve successfully guided a person to this stage of the funnel, you’ve closed the deal and made a sale. The quality of your product or service will determine whether this one-time buyer turns into a loyal lifelong customer.

This is only the basic skeleton of a sales funnel. Depending on the company or their product or service, some businesses tend to extend the process into additional stages. You will find free sales funnel examples out there such as the Russel Brunson’s Sales Funnel described below.

Russel Brunson’s Sales Funnel

This sales funnel is described in detail in DotCom Secrets, a game-changing book by the ClickFunnels CEO Russel Brunson. If you take a look at this funnel, you’ll see that it’s different than the original structure. The cloud illustrated above the funnel represents the entire audience of potential customers, aka the traffic that goes into the funnel.

The first stage of the journey is the “Bait.” A bait is usually something that the company is giving away for free in order to attract the audience into the funnel.

The second stage is called “Front End” and it represents a product or service that offers value and also comes at a specific price. The following stages labeled as “Middle” and “Back End” build up on the front end by providing more valuable items that cost more.
The entire process is structured in a way that it leads the buyer toward the most valuable and the most expensive option at the end of the funnel. Unlike with the original structure, this type of sales funnel encourages the prospect to make several purchases throughout the journey. These types of funnels usually end with a recurring payment option to retain the captured leads.

Sales Funnels Are the Way to Go

Russel Brunson describes sales funnels as the natural evolution of the website. It is necessary for every company to build a sales funnel, just like it was necessary to build a website back in the day. Without a proper sales funnel, your business is likely going to lose customers to the competition.
